On October 8, 1978, canoers on Lake Harris found the body of a young woman floating near the shoreline, next to the Howey Bridge. It is estimated her time of death was 3 – 5 days prior to discovery. The female was nude, her hands were bound and she had been gagged. It appeared she had been thrown alive from the bridge and allowed to drown.
She was 16 – 18 years old. 5’2” – 5’5” tall. 100 – 120 pounds. She had brown, close cropped hair and brown eyes. Natural teeth with no fillings or restorations. Pierced ears. No evidence of childbirth. Red fingernail and toenail polish.
“Jane Doe” remains UNIDENTIFIED and her killer(s) remain at large.
