LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Sheriff Peyton C. Grinnell

Let's work together to keep Lake County safe!

Help protect your property and community:

If a crime occurs in the vicinity of your property, the footage from your security system can help resolve that incident and/or catch the perpetrators more quickly.

Faster Investigations:

Registering your cameras with LCSO enables faster investigations by reducing time spent on foot trying to locate cameras in the vicinity of an incident, and multiple trips to retrieve footage. Once camera registration is complete, investigators can easily locate all the cameras in the vicinity of an incident, and can contact the camera owners directly to request footage.

You maintain control over your camera footage:

Sharing the location of your camera(s) does not mean that LCSO has direct access to your camera. It simply means that LCSO will be able to reach out to relevant camera owners following a crime in your neighborhood.

Free to you:

There is no additional cost associated with sharing your camera location with LCSO.

TWO SIMPLE STEPS TO REGISTER YOUR CAMERAS WITH LCSO:

1. Sign Legal Agreement with Lake County Sheriff's Office:
