OVERVIEW:
Shop with a CopTMis an outreach program designed to assist children who are at risk due to their current economic situation, their environment and other factors.
With community partners, such as yourself, we raise money for the Shop with a Cop program throughout the year. All monies stay within the Lake County community so that only local children can reap the benefits.
Our local law enforcement agencies have always had great participation in this event, and we hope you will continue to support the program.
HOW IT WORKS:
Shop with a CopTM is a collaborative effort between our school system, the Lake County Sheriff's Charities, Inc., the Lake County Sheriff's Office, and Lake County Law Enforcement. Every October we reach out to our elementary and middle school guidance counselors to obtain nominations of individual children for the event.
For every $100.00 donation, one child will be sponsored. Our goal this year is to provide one hundred (100) children with the opportunity to positively interact with law enforcement as they spend time shopping for Christmas Gifts. Once the child is selected by way of an application process, they will receive an invitation to the big shopping event.
